Financial Management and Budgeting

We provide a broad range of financial management and budgeting solutions. Our services include:

Benchmarking and Efficiency Reviews. We assess the effectiveness and efficiency of corporate support functions against private and public sector comparators. We focus on making practical recommendations that help entities introduce efficiencies and achieve real savings within their corporate functions.

Budget Development. We assist in preparing internal or external budgets using best practice approaches and models.  Our consultants are fully capable of supporting the end-to-end development of an entity's Portfolio Budget Statements, including CBMS reporting.

Budget Submissions. We provide expert advice and assistance in navigating Commonwealth Budget approvals and processes. This includes preparation of New Policy Proposals, Ministerial and Executive briefings, business case development, two stage capital works processes, central and portfolio department liaison and identification of budget offsets.

Cost Recovery and Activity Based Costing. We have helped numerous entities with implementing Activity Based Costing and cost recovery models.

Compliance Reviews. We assist entities in undertaking compliance stocktakes and identifying any compliance gaps within current processes and legislation.

Financial Modelling and Costings. Our consultants are used to building complex financial models so the models are user friendly and capable of producing the analysis required. Our goal is to create models that can easily be maintained and used by our clients well after the engagement is over.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Good performance information is a key part of accountability and reporting requirements under the PGPA Act. We are highly experienced in developing KPIs, including implementing processes for ongoing monitoring and reporting.

Training. We deliver training aimed towards building financial capability, whether that is within the finance division or helping to build financial literacy more broadly within the organisation.
