Delivery of high-quality technical accounting advice is a core capability of Jarrah Hill. Areas of technical advice include:

Application of new Australian Accounting Standards. Our consultants remain current on all new and emerging accounting requirements. We can assist entities in undertaking impact assessments as well as ensuring systems and processes are in place to meet the requirements of new Australian Accounting Standards. 

Complex transactions. We provide comprehensive and robust advice on application of Australian Accounting Standards and the Commonwealth Financial Framework to complex accounting transactions. 

Public sector and not-for-profit complexities. The Australian Accounting Standards are heavily geared towards for-profit entities. At times it can be complicated to work out how these requirements apply in a not-for-profit or public sector context. Our consultants can provide practical advice to our clients on how to interpret and apply Australian Accounting Standard requirements within a Commonwealth and/or not-for-profit context.

Stakeholder engagement. Producing robust technical advice is only part of the equation. We can assist entities in liaising with the Department of Finance and the Australian National Audit Office in agreeing on an appropriate accounting treatment for the identified transactions.
